What we buy

If it contains precious metal, bring it in

Condition rarely matters — broken chains and single earrings weigh the same as perfect ones. When a piece is worth more intact than melted, we tell you.

Estate gold jewelry on ivory linen — rope chain, bangle, rings, and a broken chain
Most common 10K–24K

Gold jewelry

Rings, chains, bracelets, pendants, bangles — worn, broken, or mismatched. Every piece is acid- or XRF-tested and weighed separately by karat.

  • Class rings and wedding bands
  • Broken chains and clasps
  • Single earrings, snapped bangles
Numismatic checked

Gold coins

American Eagles, Krugerrands, Maple Leafs, pre-1933 U.S. gold. Collectible dates and grades are priced above melt, not at it.

Highest payout rate .999+

Bullion & bars

PAMP, Credit Suisse, Valcambi, Royal Canadian Mint — from 1 gram to kilo bars. Sealed assay cards earn our tightest spreads.

By the troy ounce .925

Sterling silver

Flatware sets, tea services, candlesticks, and 90% silver U.S. coinage. Weighted pieces are deducted honestly — on the scale, in front of you.

Case & movement

Gold watches

Solid-gold cases and bands — Rolex, Omega, Longines, Hamilton. Collectible references are valued as watches first, metal second.

Yes, really ~16K avg

Dental gold

Crowns, bridges, and inlays — typically 10 to 18 karat. Porcelain attached is fine; we account for it in the weigh-in.

The process

Four steps, one visit

Most sellers are in and out in under twenty minutes. Larger estates take longer — and get a table, a coffee, and as much time as the collection deserves.

01

Book a time

Call (833) 637-4653 and we'll set an appointment. Bring your items and a government-issued photo ID — Pennsylvania law requires it for every precious-metals purchase.

~2 min
02

Test & weigh

Each item is tested by acid or X-ray fluorescence and weighed on state-certified scales. You watch every reading; nothing leaves the counter.

~10 min
03

Hear the offer

We quote from that minute's spot price, itemized by karat and weight, with the math on paper. Take it, sleep on it, or shop it around — no pressure either way.

~5 min
04

Get paid

Accept and you're paid immediately — cash or business check, your choice, with same-day bank transfer available for larger sums. Receipt in hand before you leave.

~3 min

The math

What determines your offer

Three numbers — purity, weight, and the market. We show you all three before we quote a dollar figure, because an offer you can check is worth more than one you have to trust.

F-01

Karat (purity)

A karat stamp like 14K or 585 means the piece is 58.5% pure gold. We verify every stamp — acid test or XRF — because stamps are occasionally wrong, in both directions. Unmarked pieces are tested the same way.

F-02

Weight

Precious metals trade in troy ounces: 1 ozt = 31.103 g, not the 28.35 g of a kitchen ounce. Our scales are certified by the PA Department of Agriculture's Weights & Measures program and display in grams, in your line of sight.

F-03

Spot price

Gold trades continuously on world markets. We quote against the live spot feed at the moment of your offer — not yesterday's fix, not a printed sheet from last week. Bullion and recognized coins command a higher percentage of spot than scrap jewelry.

Metal melt value per gram by karat at the current gold spot price
Karat Fineness Melt value / gram
10K .417 $32.35
14K .585 $45.38
18K .750 $58.18
22K .917 $71.13
24K / bullion .999 $77.50

Pure metal value at gold spot $2,412.80/oz — what the gold content itself is worth before any evaluation. Your offer is quoted live at the counter, and recognized bullion coins and graded pieces are priced on their own merits, not as scrap.

Before you mail it

A counter you can stand at beats an envelope

Mail-in gold buyers advertise heavily for a reason: sellers who can't watch the scale accept lower offers. Here's the honest comparison.

Questions

Selling, answered plainly

Your items and a valid government-issued photo ID — a driver's license, state ID, or passport. Pennsylvania law requires us to record seller identification for every precious-metals purchase. You must be 18 or older to sell.

Cash or business check, your choice, paid on the spot. For larger amounts we can also arrange a same-day bank transfer. Every sale comes with an itemized receipt showing weight, purity, and price per item.

Possibly — proceeds above your cost basis can be a capital gain, and certain large bullion sales require us to file IRS Form 1099-B. We provide the paperwork you need, but we're dealers, not tax advisors: for your specific situation, ask your accountant.

Yes — the storefront opens later this year, so for now every visit is scheduled. Call (833) 637-4653 and we'll book you a time. For estates, large collections, or anything over roughly 50 items, say so when you call and we'll set aside a private table and enough time to do it properly.

No minimum. A single earring, one dental crown, a handful of 90% silver dimes — we'll weigh it and quote it. Small lots get the same certified scale and the same live spot price as large ones.

Not if they're worth more than melt — and many are. A common-date Saint-Gaudens double eagle carries a premium over its gold content; a better-date or high-grade example can be worth multiples of it. We check dates, mintmarks, and condition before quoting, which is the main reason coin sellers do better here than at a scrap counter.

Broken doesn't matter at all — melt value is about metal, not condition. Unmarked pieces just take an extra minute: we test them by acid or XRF and pay on the verified purity, exactly as we would a stamped piece.

Licensed & accountable

Regulated on purpose

Precious-metals dealing in Pennsylvania is a licensed, reported activity — and that's good for sellers. Every rule below exists so that the person across the counter from you is accountable.

  • Licensed dealer. Registered as a precious-metals dealer under the Pennsylvania Precious Metals Sales Act and licensed by Bensalem Township.
  • Every purchase recorded. Seller ID, item descriptions, and weights are logged and reported to local law enforcement as required by county ordinance.
  • Statutory holding period. Purchased items are held unaltered for the mandated period before melting or resale — a safeguard that protects victims of theft and honest sellers alike.
  • Certified equipment. Scales inspected under the PA Weights & Measures program; test methods (acid, XRF) used in view of the seller.

No obligation, ever

Find out what it's actually worth

The evaluation is free whether you sell or not. Bring the drawer of jewelry you've been meaning to sort out — worst case, you leave knowing exactly what you own.
